 About the Organization:
The Kenya Financial Sector Deepening (FSD), FSD Kenya, was established in early 2005 to support the development of financial markets in Kenya as a means to stimulate wealth creation and reduce poverty. Working in partnership with the financial services industry the program'€™s goal is to significantly expand access to services among lower income households and smaller scale enterprises.
Background:
FSD Kenya is establishing a new Centre for insights into Financial inclusion (CiFi) to expand its support for the effective application of digital technology in financial markets. CiFi's ambition is to produce practical research which can be applied by financial institutions, regulators, and policymakers in creating sustainable market solutions.

About the Job:
FSD Kenya is seeking a Project Lead for the Centre for Insights into Financial Inclusion. S/he will lead the Centre on a day-to-day basis, and will be responsible for creating and applying relevant research.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

•     Design and manage research projects, communicate findings effectively to market participants, and work alongside colleagues in FSD in producing new ideas to stimulate market based innovations;
•     Manage a small team to deliver a demanding set of outputs.

Qualifications:

•     Minimum Master's level qualification in Social Science;
•     Track record of successful application of research;
•     Experience of working in the financial services field;
•     Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
•     Self-driven and ability to work against tight deadlines.
