The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 15 countries and at over 5,500 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children, and to help those already infected. Today, because of the highly successful work of the Foundation and its partners, pediatric AIDS has been virtually eliminated in the United States. With a growing global staff of over 1,000—nine of 10 who work in the field—the Foundation’s global mission is to implement HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs; further advance innovative research; and to execute strategic and targeted global advocacy activities to bring dramatic change to the lives of millions of women, children, and families worldwide.
Job Summary Overview: The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) intends to recruit a Technical Advisor for a forthcoming health service delivery program in 1-2 regions in Kenya. S/he will work closely with the Chief of Party and other project staff to provide technical expertise and management support for the design and implementation of project activities supporting integrated health service delivery and addressing the social determinants of health. The Technical Advisor will be based in Nairobi or Mombasa for the duration of the project.

Job Responsibilities:
 • Provide senior-level leadership, management, coordination, and technical guidance to implement and sustain comprehensive, integrated health service delivery activities at the county and sub-county levels
 • Provide technical support and strengthen the capacity of project teams and partners to develop and implement key strategies
 • Provide quality assurance in best practices for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis/HIV integration, reproductive health and family planning, MNCH, and/or malaria

Required Qualifications

• MD, MPH, or similar degree/education required
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in technical service delivery support, combination prevention activities, PMTCT, C&T, and/or MNCH; experience leading or supporting USAID-funded projects a plus
 • 3-5 years of experience managing technical staff
• High level of understanding of the Kenyan context and the Kenyan health system
• Proficiency in English is required; additional proficiency in local languages a plus
